epidural nightmare

Hello everyone. Had my surgery on the 23rd. Supposed to be lapro assisted vagi but had to end up cutting and doing complete abdominal. The Dr told my husband that because I was upside down for the vaginal when they had to cut that the epidural went the wrong way and I became paralyzed on the table and had to be put on a respirator and couldn't breathe on my own. Has anyone else heard of this. I am just wondering if there will be any long term effects from this and if I should be worried.

I don't have much advice, but would like to suggest meeting with your Dr and getting as much information as you can.

I'm sorry that your lap procedure ended up being an abdominal. I didn't have the same experience as you, but I can suggest that you request your hospital medical records, in addition to meeting with your dr. as bug_a_wugs suggested.
