Ready to go ... why won't the clock tick??!

Hi, all! I've read all of your really sensitive and helpful posts and PMs, and I really thank you for that. A lot of what all of you said was, "Listen to your inner voice; go with your instinct," etc.
I have, and I still am, and I am ready to get this thing over with! But now ... the WAIT! It's only until next Wednesday, but still ... it seems like forever. I want that painful stuff outta there, like, well, um, YESterday!
I'm wondering if my doc has the right kind of hyst. written down ... he's going to be doing an LAVH on me, but since he's taking my remaining tube and ovary (cervix, too), shouldn't he have written, "LAVH/BSO?" I'm just wondering for insurance purposes and curiosity.
I've got this weird, painless, itchless rash up my right arm and on part of my hand that I discovered last night. DH says it's probably heat rash from my electric blankie... but that usually itches. I hope this isn't anything too bizarre that's going to push back my trip to the Castle!
Wish me luck, everyone, and lots of love and luck to all of you, too!!!!!!!!!

Good luck, before you know it, it will be done, and the healing can begin.

Hi Sistersong!

Sounds like you're doing better! The next week may seem like slow motion, but before you know it, you'll be back to your regular routine.

Regarding insurance - yeah, check out what the insurance company has approved so there are no surprises. It probably won't matter, but it is better to have it down exactly right in their records. Better too much approved than not enough! Should be cleared up with the maximum of three calls, but will probably only take one.

Take care!!

Hey there.

I know your nerves are getting the best of you right now! We sisters can try to talk you out of feeling those nerves and emotions, but girl...they are gonna happen anyway!

Try to keep yourself busy getting the house in order, making a list of what you are bringing to the castle. Filling up the fridge with easy to prepare foods. Getting all the laundry, etc. done. The day will be here soon enough.

I remember the day before my surgery. I was picking up my kids from school for the last time in five weeks. I had moms coming up to me wishing me luck. I fought back major tears so as to not upset my kids. It is a HUGE emotional ride that you just have to bear with.

Go with the flow. Cry when you need to. Talk when you feel like it or be silent when you need to. We sisters can tell you everything is going to be okay...you will be fine...you're almost there. And you will be fine. But honestly, there really are not words to make this waiting game any easier.

Once it is over with, you will be tremendously relieved and will be able to entirely focus on you and your healing...then you can come on the boards and live week by week with the rest of us!

Best of luck to you!

Hugs,
Sarah

:)

Thank you SO MUCH, ladies!!! The support here never ceases to amaze me. I feel as if I've finally found a community of true healing. Thanks to ALL of you for being here for me and letting me be here for you. I'll be a lot MORE able to give advice once I get to the other side, but I'll definitely do what I can for now!!
