Hi Pre-Op nervous sisters...Just got my script for mild nerve pills .......
Hi sisters, I'm an emotional wreck one minute and the next I'm fine....Pre op visit is this Thurs. and Lab work is Fri.
I just took 1/2 of a tablet generic zanax my Dr. gave me a months supply.....I'm to take 1/2 tablet 2 to 3 times a day. I sure hope this helps ! I KNOW I'm losing weight because everything I eat won't stay down ! I'm ING that if I can settle my nerves this scrambled egg brain I have will settle down !!!
If you girls feel really nervous please call your Dr. even if you're like me and don't take nerve pills now may be a good time to get things under control....... talk to your Doctor before you get like me and can't eat. Now I have to really force myself to eat because surgery is Next Monday !!! I've got to get my strength back !!!! and be ready for this !!!! I'm ING lots of fluids and taking it easy.
My new script of nerve pills is only 0.5 MG and I take 1/2 so it won't lay me down......
I'm supposed to start anytime now.....my VERY last period! I started a little Sat. but stopped.....I do that sometimes when I'm really stressed and besides I had the D&C on the 18th of March so I have no idea when I'm supposed to start.....
<Taking a really long deep breath> I can feel my nerves starting to calm down !!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Please girls don't let yourself get like I did trying to wait it out and be tough , it's just NOT worth it !!!!
You're all in my prayers ,
Love Deborah

Hi Pre-Op nervous sisters...Just got my script for mild nerve pills .......
Hi Deborah,
I completely understand what you are going through, I have pre-op this Thursday and surgery Monday!!!!
Yesterday was my day where I reached the point it sounds like you were today. My best friend had a hysterectomy Jan 1 of this year so is such a blessing to have around. Without her I would be pulling my :hair" out too.
She suggested that I do exactly what you did and call the doctor to get nerve pills, I decline and just waded through the day. I'm stubborn like that, you know the one child birth "au natural". That's me!!!! Well I have a new doctor now and have told me that I will get pain meds and whatever else to make me comfortable. He is really great so far.
We are here with you every step of the way.
I will add you to my prayer list tonight at our Bible Study that I teach. Just listen to the answers God provides. Take one moment at a time and breath!
Paula

How sweet thank you Paula !!!
But Paula just remember it's ok to get nerve pills if you get all nervous .......there are no superwomen when it comes to having this type of surgery....so please if you get too stressed call your Dr. it deosn't mean you're a weak person and BOY do I admire the natural childbirth ! And it sounds like you have a big support system with your best friend !!!
I already feel calmer and not as confused feeling.....
Thank you for adding me to your prayer list at church. You're a really sweet person and I hope you can continue to have peace.
You're also on my ers!
Deborah

Hi Pre-Op nervous sisters...Just got my script for mild nerve pills .......
hey Deb,
its so nice to hear you are feeling emotionally better. You have been in my prayers also. My surgery is also Monday, but I go tomorrow at 11 for dr visit and pre-ops. So far I have not asked for medication but I plan to ask for a pre-surgery valium for monday morning early. My problem is I get very nervous right before the visit that I go to restroom and feel like I have to go right back . Nervous bladder.
I'll fill you in on what my cute dr says about my pre-op orders.

Hi Pre-Op nervous sisters...Just got my script for mild nerve pills .......
Hi Deborah,
Believe me, I know I can't be superwoman, actually never thought I was I just haven't ever liked the feeling of being drugged (my parents really appreciated that when I was young
I am soooo glad you are calming down, your posts sound better each time.
How is today going? I'm in clean mode! Which makes DH soooo
I copied some of your great questions for the doctor. Thanks for sharing them.
I also added a question about the enema, I know there is a drink you can do the day before which completely cleanses out your system, and I would rather do that than have an enema the day of surgery. So I will ask him about that.
You have my continued .
Paula

Hi Pre-Op nervous sisters...Just got my script for mild nerve pills .......
I too finally relented and got a script for nerve pills... I got ativan... it really helps. I still get emotional and cry about all of this but it seems more managable and I can sleep at night now. I also felt that I had to get strong for this procedure... mine is on the 23rd.... so its time to get over it and get on with it....
thanks for your post...

Hi Paula
I'm on the lowest dose possible and only taking 1/2 of the tablet....I don't feel drugged in the very least bit. I'm able to stay calm and can concentrate so much better and sleep so much better. But that's just me....one of the girls had told me to not try and be a superwoman and I thought to myself yeah maybe I'm trying to show on the outside I'm strong but inside I was crying before...
We're all different in how we handle stress that's for sure and too I have No DH and am pretty much alone in this. So you are very blessed to have a DH !!! ;-)
I'm very happy your in the cleaning mode !!! That's gotta make you feel good ! Keep up the good work , I admire your strength !
Oh and I'm glad my questions helped in some way....
I'm feeling soooooooo much better God is GOOD !!!
Take care Paula

Oh Ladies,
I think I have sent out the wrong message regarding nerve pills, etc. I do not in anyway want to be superwoman or think that anyone that takes any medication to help alleviate any of the unwanted feelings that they are having is a bad thing.
Please please don't think I feel that way. So far it has just been a personal preference of mine, but that might change quickly.
I hope I haven't isolated myself because I truly do need these friendships that I am creating here on this board.

I am a day and a half away
My hyst is on Friday 4/12. I am not on any pills, so I went out and raked the whole back yard, cleaned the kitchen, planted some flowers, rearanged some shelves... Just trying to keep my mind off of this surgery. I will go to the library to get a yoga book on breathing, my yoga teacher told me it will help my healing.
Good luck dear sisters, see you on the other side, as soon as early next week!
