17 days post hysterectomy: Cold rushing feeling near surgical sites

17 days post da Vinci w BSO. I'm experiencing a feeling like my internal incisions are tearing. Does anyone else feel a rush like cold liquid running through your abdomen?

Re: Cold rushing feeling near surgical sites

It could be internal stitches dissolving (thats the tugging feeling) and then your nerves waking up to that fact (that would be the cold rushing feeling, the nerves waking up)
This can happen for the next couple of weeks.
It can be normal, but for peace of mind if it continues too long or becomes a nuisance, let your doctor know. Its always good to be sure of whats going on.
Take great care

Thank you so much. I think I've been overdoing a few things and now I feel like I've gone backwards in my recovery. I felt so great at first after my surgery. Now I feel like I'm being forced to do the resting I should have been doing the first two wks. . Thanks again for your reply

Re: Cold rushing feeling near surgical sites

Oh your welcome
Yes you can have some pains when you overdo, just take it easy and you will be back on track in no time.
You are still doing a lot of healing inside still.
Internal stitches are dissolving and nerves are waking up.
It does feel like you go backwards in recovering and then one day you realize wow i feel good again.
So just rest when you need to, do our best healing in our sleep.
And be patient
Take great care
