discharge 12 days post hysterectomy

TLH w/BSO davinci..... Sat up in chair for over an hour this morning, now I have pink discharge . Is this normal for my recovery point or from pressure of sitting up? Tired of laying down, but I do feel pressure while sitting.

You can have discharge for 6 weeks.
If it is very heavy or develop a fever or it smells foul then get to your doctor as soon as possible.

It is very normal for you to have spotting and bleeding off and on for a number of weeks after surgery. We all heal at our own rates and this is part of that process. As you start to feel better and increase your activities, it can cause you spot or bleed even if you haven't been up to that point. If you would start to bleed bright red blood and fill a pad within an hour, you need to head to the ER.

Be sure to drink lots , walk and get plenty of rest . That is very important for your recovery.

This JUST happened to me also 12 days post-op and first thing I did was come here. Such a relief to know this is normal...especially at . 2 a.m.! This place is great!
