Cauterizing scar tissue

I've got a question for anyone who has an answer. It has been six months since my hysterectomy and I've had some bleeding so I went to doc and she said I have scar tissue that needed to be cauterized. She did it and it seemed to help, I was to go back in three weeks, (that would be yesterday), when I left her office, it felt as though I had a panty full of red hot coals. When I got home i was still burning and very uncomfortable and when I looked to check things out it looked as though the whole area was burned. I went back today and yes, the silver nitrate actually came out with vaginal fluids and has completely burned the outer vaginal area. She was very sorry of course, and is treating me, but has anyone else ever had this happen? It is so tender and sore.

OUCH! Do you have some pure aloe vera gel? or even a aloe vera plant that you can extract the meat from? Aloe is wonderful on burns and can relieve some of your discomfort, if not grab a ice pack and pack away. I keep a bottle of aloe vera gel from my health food store in my refrigerator and when I do something stupid in the kitchen I have it right there and already cooled to halt any burns I get, and it feels really soothing. Sorry this happend to you!

O my but you must be so sore! I hope everything clears up soon. I've used aloe vera for burns, too - very soothing....

I have had the silver nitrate treatment but never been burned by it. I am so sorry you have to deal with this on top of the surgery. I will say a prayer that you heal quickly.
Take care,
