Unhappy - Pain from my sling? Pain from my sling?

Thank you so much for posting this!! I have read way too many stories of women having problems with this!! I had my TVH with TVT bladder sling surgery on 6/22/11. The TVH went beautifully and I recovered quickly but I've been having complications with the sling. I can't sit, stand or walk for too long or it starts to ache to the point of tears. I get sharp pains and sometime pulling on the right side where I can still feel the sling where the incision site is on my pelvic bone. My doctor basically told me that this is very uncommon and he usually doesn't have patients coming back at 6 weeks still in pain. The only thing he could offer me was some ibuprofen and to come back in 2 weeks for a re-eval. I still have a week to go and the pain hasn't gotten any better but worse. Does any one have similar stories? I could really use some insight about this!

Re: Pain from my sling?

How are you doing today?

What did your doctor say at your appointment? Were all of your symptoms healing issues rather than complications? I hope so!
