Vaginal cuff

Just wondering... what is a vaginal cuff?

The vaginal cuff if the result of the doctor stitching the place closed where your cervix was. I guess all of us who have the cervix removed have the vaginal cuff. Some sisters have noticed remnants of stitches coming out as they dissolve. I didn't have that at all.

By the way, I've read some posts on the board about ladies having problems with the cuff tearing etc. I've had no problem at all even after resuming sexual activities. Just wanted to let you know! Heal well.

Thanks Marilyn! I'm 3 weeks post op and things are moving right along like they're supposed to I think! I am very conscious to not overdo because I've so many posts on here about women who did and they had to go back and have things fixed - like the cuff or a bladder prolapse, etc. That's the LAST thing I want!!!
