Post op 5 weeks and caught a COLD!!
Hi all,
I have been resting and very gentle with myself since my surgery on Feb 26. No pain. Daily naps. I have driven the car a few times and stopped by the little store near my house for three items (used a cart). No lifting, bending or reaching. Focused on healing.
Now I have caught a cold, am coughing and threw up this morning. I am back in bed.
I am SO GLAD I caught the cold at week 5. I would not have been able to deal with the coughing earlier. Now taking meds for cough.
I am so depressed to be sick. I was feeling pretty good before this set back. I hope I can kick this cold ASAP. My post op dr appt is on April 3 and I am scheduled to return to work April 9.

I'm in my 5th week today and I try to keep my tummy pillow handy for both pets jumping up me and for when I cough and sneeze. If you don't have one, it really does make a difference in the pain. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
