TAH How do you know if you need ht

It's only been 3 1/2 weeks since my hysterectomy, but I was wondering how do you know if you need hormone therapy? I have one overie and I'm only 26 , do they do blood test regularly to check?

Considering your age, chances are that your doctor will want to put you on some sort of HRT. At your next checkup, ask about the plan. You can even ask your doctor to check your hormone levels if you are feeling "off" (hot flashes, weepy, headaches, moody). Hopefully your ovary will be able to do all the work, but it can't hurt to check, it may need a little help.

I think I will have my dr check regularly just to be sure, I don't want to over look anything. I just didn't know if checking your hormones was part of the process.
