painful belly button

I found discussions on those that had abdominal hysters having painful belly buttons, but I had a TVH. My belly button hurts something awful! Anyone else?

I had a LSH on Jan14 and i can tell you that my bellybotton is not the same. I can tell I have nerve pain. Denise.

it hurts so badly when I try to lay on my stomach-especially around my belly button.

I had a TVH on the 17th & I have belly button pain as well. Some times its just my belly button and others it is across my stomach and feels like I have been folded in half or something. It sometimes feels like a burning sensation. Dh noticed yesterday that it is actually bruised. I figure with all activity during the surgey that area was probably scraped or hit or something. I have to make sure my clothing does not sit in my bellybutton area cause that makes it hurt more. You are not the only one. I feel it too!

Glad to have found others with the same as me! I had a TAH/BSO with a vertical incision right through my belly button to about 1" above (10lb. ovarian cyst to get out) and I have pain mostly when I first lie down on my side. If I lie on my back it goes,I find it worse when I've eaten and can feel the dreaded wind moving around so have put it down to that. It is worse than any other pain from the incision thank goodness it's only a couple of times a day!!!Having the other half of my staples out today, so I'll see if that helps.
