My dr let me read my pathology report today and it shows that my uterus was 278 g (normal is about 80-90 g) and I actually had 11 fibroids ranging from .4 to 4.1 cm.

Although 278 g sounds large I think it's actually only about 10 ounces. Since I can't blame my weight on the fibroids, I guess that means I have to lose some weight.

I was wondering how many have read their pathology report and know the size of their uterus?

I did not read mine...I know she removed 12 fairly large fibroids. I was just so happy to have it done and over with. Maybe one day I will get the statistics. Right now, I am just happy it is all over and I have a new life to look forward to!

Mine weighed 380 grams and had a large crop of fibroids. Three big ones and lots 'o little ones. All I can tell you is that I'm glad they are gone with their roommate ole Aunt Flo. I won't miss any of them.

I havent read my path report yet, but I did find out that my uterus weighed 122 grams and that I had aden which was thought to be endo going into this whole thing. I know that 122 isnt as big as some of you had, but it seemed big when she told me. I also found out not only was my uterus "boggy" it was also spongy and mushy. What does that mean? I know I was losing tissue for more then 4 months before my surgery, but is that why?

How do you get a copy of the lab report and blood work. My doctor went over a little bit, but I would like to read all of it.
