Da vinci myomectomy 14 days ago - heavy period

You may have seen my prior post. I had a Da Vinci Myomectomy exactly 2 weeks ago today and I got my period 2 days ago. It is very heavy (as heavy as it was prior to fibroid removal). Is this normal? Should I expect my next one to be lighter? Other than that, I'm feeling great. Back to power walking and about 90% pain free. I can't recommend this procedure enough.

How long did your procedure take? How large was your fibroid? I am having this procedure in early Dec on a 9cm fibroid outside my uterus. I am curious how they remove them when they are so large. So nervous but ready!

My procedure took about 3 hours (but I was at the hospital from 6:30 AM - 6:30PM as I couldn't leave until I could urinate). I had two fibroids. One intramural (7cm) and one on the outside of the uterus (2cm). I was really nervous, but I am 2 weeks out and I feel great. I would say 85-90%. This is so much better than the 4-6 week recovery for a hysterectomy. I'm sure that you will do great!
