I am normal?

Marly,

I had adeno and for years was considered "normal" and somehow I got the feeling they rolled their eyes when I kept coming in for pain and bleeding. Can you say "hypochondriac?" I finally lost my temper and refused to have any more "bandaids (bcp's). I demanded they do more testing than just bloodwork to see if I was peri-menopausal and that after 10 years, I wanted it all out. At first the doctor said I was "too young" to have a hyster (at 45?). I got a bit more belligerant and demanded to get a referral to a specialist. After the ultrasound, I was in a specialist's office within a week. Within 2 months, I had my hysterectomy. My uterus was about twice its normal size due to adenomyosis....but no cancer or fibroids. Not exactly normal, eh?

I'm beginning to think that doctors don't regularly look for adeno.

Would it help to say what you're feeling is normal?

Hang in there!
