Anybody having problems with Nausea?

I am just beginning my 3rd week post op.I have been getting nauseated all of the time since the first week. I was given the scopealamine patch just before surgery and it was to stay on for two days. I did not have the nausea vomiting post op than many of you had experienced. Just a terrible dry mouth and throat post op that made my asthma a little problem with a lot of coughing. I get motion sickness very easily and dont even put me on a boat!!!!.
I dont know if something is wrong or am I just still recovering from the surgery? Makes eating a bit difficult with maybe one meal a day,so I try to get in enough fluids. I have had some symptoms of UTI at times, but it gets better with Cranberry juice. I see my urologist this week and GYN the week after.I am on the Clamira Patch 0.1 mg. Any suggestions?

Anybody having problems with Nausea?

I am not sure but based on what you wrote in your email it could indeed be a UTI. I had some similar symptoms when I had a UTI and had alot of nausea. Those UTI's can be hard and painful to go through.I am just guessing, it may not be a UTI at all. I am glad that you are going to see your uriologists and your GYN. Your uriologist will definitely be able to tell you if you have a UTI. I hope that you find some answers.

Anybody having problems with Nausea?

hope you are feeling better - nausea wow what a crappy thing - I did have two bouts within my first two weeks - of course I was sitting in the quiet room and all of a sudden - I did vomit - both ends - I am sorry if this sounds gross but for no reason - so I hope your nausea does pass - please make sure you try to take in fluids though - some tea, ginger ale, flat coke... Take care!

Anybody having problems with Nausea?

I've been having nauseau in my 4th week. Kinda like morning sickness. I'm attributing it to hormones.

Anybody having problems with Nausea?

I'm hesitant to ask this ... have you been having regular bm? Sometimes pain meds constipate and things can back up all the way to your stomach. It sounds odd, I know, but it really can happen.

I feel for you

I had the worse nausea coming out of surgery, for some crazy reason my dr had me taking pain meds by mouth and the nurse kept telling me to eat crackers to get them down since I felt like throwing up constantly!
I never ate one thing in the hospital, didn't know this wasn't normal since no one said a thing, went home in pain cause couldn't keep meds down.
By the way, this wasn't a small town hick hospital, but one of the "biggest and best in OKC" (what a joke)
I started out weighing 114 and after three weeks was down to 95...need I say more?
It finally did go away but was the very worse experience in my life...bless you

Anybody having problems with Nausea?

Well ladies, the BM department is fine. Have those funny OMG gas pains at times though. I wonder if hormones are the problem but it sure happens alot. I hate to be nauseated.

Anybody having problems with Nausea?

Zofran is a wonderful anti-nausea medication!!! My dr. have me those and phenegren. The latter makes me sleep, so I like the Zofran better. It works quicker too. I'm week 3 and not using them as often as I was.
