Anyone else with terrible dreams and sleep issues

I still have bad dreams now. I haven't taken any narcotics for 3 weeks now, so I don't think they're the culprit. I did see on the hormone thread that nightmares are a side effect of the hormones going away.

Anyone else with terrible dreams and sleep issues

Funny you would post this. I just last night had a horrible nightmare and woke up in a panic attack. I had to walk around the house till i could calm my self down. I thought I couldnt breath and had to walk outside in the cold as well. I hope this isnt going to be the norm and just an isolate incident

Anyone else with terrible dreams and sleep issues

I had them too, plus though I was never a good sleeper that past 5 years I never had a dream. I figure it was I never slept long enough to dream. I was pretty much out of it when I took main meds after surgery so I was sleeping and sleeping and having terrible dreams too. I started taking sleeping pills to help me sleep. I use the equate brand at walmart they work so great and no dry mouth and works all night long for me. I was taking Ambien but it kept my mouth so dry all night I was up going potty alot due to drinking so much water while I was sleeping, sleep drinking ha ha water that is..

Anyone else with terrible dreams and sleep issues

Eight weeks out, I'm still having trouble with sleeping and with anxiety. And yes, I have nightmares every night.

I saw my doctor yesterday and he said that the problem is something like post-traumatic stress disorder. The body is in shock from the surgery and is reacting. It's very hard to deal with. I was already on ambien, but he has now also prescribed zoloft. This is the plan until my body gets back on track...

Good luck! We here all understand what you are going through!
