I Just dont feel well

Hiya

hard to explain how I feel..like achy all over but no other signs of flu or cold..white cell count is elevated which tells dr Iam fighting something but he said thats not unusual after surgery

I feel kinda weak and droopy I am almost 4 weeks Post op and this is the first time I have felt like this

My blood pressure is normal but my iron is still low (8) when it should be above 12

I have been doing too much lately

Any thoughts?

I have been feeling that way too. Just run down and achy like when u have the flu but no other symptoms of the flu. I get dizzy alot too. I am not bleeding much..just very little light pink/brown discharge. This morning i woke up and felt sooo hot all over and got that weird queazy feeling..stripped down to my undies and laid on the bed under my ceiling fan. Felt like a hot flash maybe yet I still have both ovaries. I dont like this feeling. Then I will feel fine after a while..but my legs continue to ache and my back hurt...no fever. UGHHHH

I think this is your body asking for more rest, and less activity even for a little bit (can you take it easy for the weekend?). Please keep reminding yourself that you won't be in recovery forever, and that you only have once chance to do this right the first time. You are still pretty early on in your recovery - the guidline is 6 months to a year for a full recovery! I am coming up on six months and I still have occaisional bouts of exhaustion and soreness when I do too much.

Are you taking vitamins? Does your doctor have you taking iron supplements? It sounds like you do need something to get your hemoglobin up (I assume that is your hemoglobin count?). I found a liquid supplement at the health food store called Floradix - it isn't as much of a boost as oral supplements but it's easier on your system, easier for your body to absorb, and it has other vitamins in it.

I am feeling the same way today. Just off. I guess maybe I did too much yesterday, going out for lunch and then walking around a store. I literally sat on my butt all day today and then I had to get my son off the bus from school and make his dinner and that about did me in! Your hb is pretty low so that could account for your feeling weak, especially if you exert yourself a little. Mine was 10 something at discharge and I have not taken iron yet because of constipation. I have a program down where I am going daily and don't want to mess with that right now!!

My iron was low at 8 and yes I do have floradix and will start taking it again and yes I have been ordered to take it easy for the weekend and my car keys were taken from me today

Feel better!! And like others said.. Rest extra this w/e!'

Sorry to hear you had your keys taken but it sounds like someone has your best interests in mind.....wishing a very restful and healing weekend. Try to find some ways to pamper yourself and make the most of your down time.

Sounds like a book readin', movie watchin' weekend is what you need.
