Have you tried...

Have you tried drinking hot water flavored with some fresh lemons. That may help move things along and it's a natural, easy way to flush out your system

I had a bm in the hospital before i could go home. But that said, I continued to drink water water water and I ate prunes every morning. I found pitted whole prunes in Walmart. I'm sorry you're having trouble. Please...tell your doc to get the help you need because we're all different.
What I meant to say was I didn't use anything but the prunes.

Need Advice - QUICK!

I am a little over 2 weeks post op and the bm thing seems to work fine...then not. I have found that if I have to break down and take something for "uncomfortableness" right before bed then the next day I can forget my body working like normal. When I asked my doc I found that he was not nearly as concerned as I was. Apparently this is "normal." I REALLY wish I had a list of what was "normal" before I think it is NOT.

UPDATE!!!

I had a BM a few hours ago. I did what Newfaith suggested and kept walking. It was rough because I felt nauseated but when the walking got to be too much I held on to a piece of furniture and just stood there.
I was walking before, but apparently not enough.
I am so happy! Not to mention relieved! The BM took a lot out of me and I had to lie down for a while but at least it happened! Prior to surgery I had a BM every day because I always ate high fiber foods. About a year ago I started a diet and exercise program and managed to get myself down to 115 lbs and I'm 5'4. With all the problems I've had since surgery I'm down to 108, which is way too low for my height. Needless to say, the constipation was stressing me out in many ways. I'm so relieved! Thanks for your help, ladies!
