Headaches anyone?

Anyone else been getting migraines or heat headaches? Yesterday I had it all day. Nothing worked. I woke up with it. Should I call my doctor about this? Is it hormonal related? I used to get them when I have my periods, but as you know, no bleeding or cramps (YAY) but our body still goes changes. Only thing is if I was to have my period, it would have been two weeks ago.

Re: Headaches anyone?

I just had my post op check, day 9 for me and started getting headaches, asked the dr,he said to make sure to stay well hydrated, cool clothes and home, and it may be my body trying to get back to normal and hormones adjusting, kept both ovaries.
It still good to confer with Dr

Re: Headaches anyone?

I did the first 4 weeks, and hot tea always took care of it. They went away thank goodness. They would usually start in the night and be blinding by morning. Figured it was the anesthesia, caffeine headaches, or a combo.

Re: Headaches anyone?

I am. Mine are very specific to time of day and seem to be related to my hrt. Nothing but taking my next dose of estrogen helps. So my guess is hormones for you too.

Re: Headaches anyone?

Well, I saw her today and I guess it is not hormonal related, I have an earache and that is why I have a headache.

Re: Headaches anyone?

I have been having periodic headaches for the past couple of days (7 days post op TAH) which is disheartening when you are already taking a scheduled dose of Ibuprofen and Tylenol 3 as needed. Not sure what is going on. Hope you feel better soon!

Re: Headaches anyone?

I have had a couple of headaches, but this past Sunday it was extremely bad. My head started hurting around noon and no matter what I took it only got worse. I cried for a few hrs before finally going to the er. The headache had started to make me nauseated. They checked my blood pressure & it was 135/84 because of my pain level. The er dr ran every test he could, cat scan and even a lumbar puncture. After 3 hrs it was determined that I had a migraine headache. He prescribed me 2 meds to take & today I'm doing ok other than the pain from the spinal tap & blood pressure is back to my normal range 112/74. Take care of yourself.
