passing stitches????

Hello all I had my TAH and a lot of pelvic adhesions removed on March 27th. I was in the hospital till Sunday due to the extensive dissecting around my bladder.

So far things have gone I think normal, once I finally got a handle on what pain medications wouldn't make me nauseous.

I am able to move around easier and walking a little more.

I have a couple of questions:

How long are you all staying on your pain medication? I was wondering if I should really be at the point to stop, I have lowered the times I take it, but still having pain.

Also, I have read several posting about passing stitches. Does this happen in all surgeries? I have a 13 inch horizonal incision on the outside, so I figured it is even larger on the inside.

It really helps healing how others dealt with all the different procedures. I will call my dr and aske for another refill, just to have it for those times.
