Upcoming hysterectomy: Rest days pre surgery?

Does anyone know if it's better to take some rest days prior to surgery or to keep training right up until the day? I figure I'll get some rest after but thought it would be good to hear if anyone knows for sure. Thanks.

I didn't slow down at all before my surgery. I tried to get as much done knowing that I would have the next 6 weeks to just rest. I don't think your "taking it easy" will benefit your recovery. Of course you want to be careful that you don't hurt yourself too. You certainly wouldn't want to go into surgery with a sprained ankle or back spasms but if you normally train and are physically fit, I see no reason to stop before surgery.

with my Sisters! The only reason I stopped running was because we participated in a n'hood yard sale and was too busy prepping for it - THAT was a workout in itself. It was Saturday, my surgery was Monday.
