Re: Burning in vagina and anus

I'm sorry, no I don't know. I read your post and feel so bad for you. I've had pain down there with bacteria infections and recurrent bladder and urinary infections and it's not easy to deal with. I hope you get some answers soon. Good luck.

Re: Burning in vagina and anus

Hi ME333,

I was reading your post and had a thought. Did they check into nerve issues. Only because you said it gets worse when you lie down at night. When we lie down we put more pressure on parts of our bodies. I know damaged nerves can play a number on our bodies in the strangest ways.
Just a thought... Hope you feel better soon.

God Bless

Re: Burning in vagina and anus

Welcome to HysterSisters. Do you have burning when you urinate or all the time? Did you keep your ovaries? Were you menopausal prior to your hysterectomy?

There are so many possibilities. You might want to ask for a referral to a urogynecologist and possibly a pain management doctor.

Here is the link to your hysterectomy date thread in case you haven't found it yet July2-July8 recovery thread

Re: Burning in vagina and anus

Allergies can be the culprit if it has gone on for over 6 months. New allergies can surface that you weren't allergic to before. Do a bit of research on this. My daughter had a swollen burning vagina and they finally pinned it down to allergies after months of suffering and many tests. Fragrances in soaps and lotions was her culprit. Not sure if this is your issue, but it doesn't hurt to investigate it a bit just in case.
