Lots of belly noises and bloating

I had an LAVH on Wednesday. I didn't get to leave the hospital last night until around 9pm, I was having an extreme amount of pain and nausea. Doc did a CT scan, blood work and urinalysis, everything showed fine. I will say that I started feeling leagues better after the catheter and gauze came out (I'm sure it is called something other than guaze but my memory is still pretty fuzzy). Since I have been up and moving around starting around 5pm last night, and specifically since I have been home since about 10pm last night, I have had a LOT of belly noises. It sounds like I should be having quite a BM coming soon, or maybe this is just lots of gas that I'm hearing in my stomach instead of coming out one end or the other? (I'm sorry I know that's not politically correct, but I'm having a hot flash too and can't seem to put politically correct thoughts together right now!) I am also having a LOT of bloating. I thought the bloating before the surgery was bad. I literally look like I am nine months pregnant. I've read some articles here and there that say maybe some of the noises are being caused because there is so much more room in my insides and all my other inside pieces are settling into their new homes....I did not get any type of binder or anything. I have some of the corsets that are the hook and eye type that go low over the abdomin. Does anyone think those will help? I still am wearing the mesh panties from the hospital with just a t shirt over it. And did I mention the hot flashes?! Just the cervix and uterus were taken, with maybe tubes and ovaries being pulled after my BRCA results come back.

I was so nervous to get it done, and now I am relieved, knowing that relief will be coming one of these days. I have given my DH gentle reminders that I will not be doing anything the next two weeks, and whether he believes it or not it is true. I do not want to prolong this recovery!

I had major bloating and massive bm issues after surgery. Had to spend a third night in the hospital because of it, little did i know it was only the beginng. Used gas-x, stool softners, laxatives, probiotics, and prunes. The only thing i dont recomend is the laxatives. Good luck!
