9 days post-op bleeding- gone to ER

So last friday- was day 9 post op and I was feeling great!! I made cupcakes that morning, and around lunch I started to have drainage blood (first since surgery),no pain at all during any of this, then here came the clumps of tissue and what looked like my kidney and/or liver and blood galore. We went straight to the ER - where I continued to bleed everywhere while they were in no hurry at all to help- I couldnt even wear a pad or anything I had a towel wrapped around me- finally got to a room and on the table where the ER dr. on call came to look and said he found a broken blood vessell and stuffed me full of guaze until my dr. could get there. That didnt hold anything- i went into surgery and when I woke up- my dr. told me he didnt find a broken vessell so they recut me on my abdominal cut and went thru my belly button also- and he couldnt find the spot of bleeding instead i was just oozing (as he put it) from everywhere. He called a general surgeon in to help locate the problem and move my organs around for better view. Still nothing! Therefore he placed some sort of material(celose...something or another) inside of me that is supposed to absorb into my body and stop the bleeding. I dont like the answer I got at all- was wondering if anyone else had abnormal bleeding in large amounts- (they had to give me 2 units of blood during surgery, or I may not be here right now.)

Sunday is day 9 and everytime I get a twitch or twinge I start to freak out! 2 surgeries in 2 weeks is enough for me! Not to mention when I woke from this last one- they stole my appendix while I was out too!!

Wow! That's quite something! Please take it very easy for a long time. Tell your family they have to a make you cupcakes and do everything for you for the next three weeks. (Not blaming you for doing too much too soon - just hoping you insist on complete rest for a while) BTW, I don't think you'll miss the appendix at all. Take care of yourself and get everyone else to take care of you too!

Wow, I'm so sorry that happened to you. My friends who've had their appendixes removed say that that is a major recovery on it's own! Be sure to take extra care of yourself. Watch movies,read books,everyone should take care of you.
