Okay, I'll reluctantly stick my hand up and admit that I would have loved to have taken my uterus home in a jar. Part of that is because I'm a biology geek in the midst of pre-med studies, and internal organs are just fascinating; my personal history with my uterus would make it even more fascinating, I'd think. The other reason is that it would have been nice to have gotten at least one good look at my vanquished foe.

Yes, I know I'm weird.

When I was four, I had my toncills removed. The surgeon put them in a little jar of liquid and left them on a shelf in my room so I could see them. We didn't take them home. I hadn't thought about that in years and years.

I don't want to take home my uterus, but I would love it if my doctor would snap a few photos of it for my scrapbook. No, I'm not joking! I wonder if he would do that. Or better yet, have a nurse take a picture of him holding it. Hmmm ... one more question to add to my pre-op list. LOL

Careful purplesnow, a couple months ago someone started a thread wanting pictures and ended up dyeing her pubic hair pink to pull a joke on her surgeon. (I am serious about that.)

A relative of mine asked me if I was going to bring mine home. I imagined putting it on the coffee table for a conversation piece. Could only envision people hurling at a dinner party! :-)

This post had me rofl. Thank you. I do have a video of my gall bladder surgery, maybe they can do the same for this one. I am now going to ask at my pre-op appointment. I at least want pictures of the thing that has been beating me inside out. I want to see the enemy lol.
