Re: How is your hubby/significant other handling the lack of sex?

(i'm surprised at my hubby, generally he sulks and we end up arguing after a week tops about it. but he's been a darling, he seems to be doing ok. i'm only 3 weeks post op hope everythings ok after 6 weeks.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm in the same boat, he usually acts like a baby if he doesn't get some. I'm 3.5 weeks post op....so far so good but he's starting to whine....oh well! I'm not jeopardizing anything....sorry buddy, this is MY body!

Re: How is your hubby/significant other handling the lack of sex?

DH has been great. He is all about making sure I heal correctly before we do anything to jeopardize it. We were cleared for anything but penetration and have fooled around a little. He is still getting what he likes every now and then so he is happy. I am hoping I only have to wait the 8 weeks but if it turns out to be more we will deal. My health is way more important and both of us agree with that. The biggest problem is me, I can't believe how in the mood I have been since my surgery.

Re: How is your hubby/significant other handling the lack of sex?

I see I am one of only a few in this post where sex isn't really on the radar. Sex has gotten rare around here. It is kinda sad, but I am not sure what to do, or even if I want to remedy that.

I think it is going on one year now. Just odd. I used to initiate much more than he, and now that I don't, we just never do it. It has gotten to be a habit.

I love my DH, but I don't think I would have married him if I could go back in time. We are more like siblings, or friends. He pretty much has never even kissed me in 15 years, other than a peck on the lips now and then. I have not had a good kiss in 20 years since I was 25 and dating a different guy back then.

Oh well...turned this into a vent I guess.

Re: How is your hubby/significant other handling the lack of sex?

I am amazed at how much I want it and the hubs is scared to do anything with me! I seriously do not know what I will do if the doc says no on my 6 week checkup which is still 4 weeks away.

Re: How is your hubby/significant other handling the lack of sex?

My hunny bunny has been amazing...he made a joke the other night when I was eating a banana if you get my drift and I was so out of it from my pain meds that I just stood there with a blank face. He thought thr face was me telling him he was being rude and felt bad for the comment, but it was really an I am so messed up on pain meds I don't understand the joke face, lol.

So my man is being amazing, I have been feeling kinda depressed because I am not bringing in an income, I am not able to do anything around the house right now, and to add to it I am not able to enjoy intamacy. He told me that the most important thing right now is for me to heal and take the time I need. We talked about the first time we will be able to be intimate post op and he is nervous and wants to go get an adult toy at the store and use that first to make sure I am ok. He is afraid his reaction time will be not fast enough in the heat of the moment and might hurt me. What a sweetheart
