dVH/RALH: dVH scheduled for 7/22

I am having DaVinci. I have yet to meet someone who regrets this decision so I really hope I have a positive outcome too.

Had my blood drawn yesterday for pre-screening. I'm getting nervous as the countdown begins. I'm glad our liquid only day is Sunday and not on a work day!

Sounds like a lot of sisters are going in on July 22!

I just read on some posts that some people wake up with an irritated throat from intubation. I can't think of a worse time to be coughing than right after the surgery! I don't remember if they did that for my ablation back in February. If so, it didn't bother me at all. Anybody here experience something similar?

As for a scratchy throat, from the breathing tube your throat may be irritated (mine was fine). I brought hard candy to suck on since my mouth was so dry which helped a lot.

My throat was fine and I was in surgery for 5hrs... (total hysterectomy and gallbladder removal) hot tea helps. .I had a bit of a cough. .they'll encourage that to clear your chest. ..but no pain! Bowl prep isn't tough. . You'll be hungry but that's about it. . Best wishes. ..xoxo

Well first of all I wish all of u ladies scheduled for 7/22 the best of luck!😊 I had the DaVinci 7/2 and I am doing really well! It has been a fairly simple recovery for me so don't worry to much ladies u will do great! 😀
