Should I be concerned? Worsening symptoms

My dVH is scheduled for July 24th and they are going to take out the uterus, tubes, ovaries and cervix due to fibroids. I am concerned because my fatigue is increasing and frankly it hurts to sit and to be intimate with my husband. I have had my period since May 13th (24 days). Is it normal to get worse like this before surgery. I thought it was the uterus taking revenge, but this has been going on so long.

Re: Should I be concerned? Worsening symptoms

Your doc would be the best to say what is normal or worrisome so I defer on that. Still, it sounds like good confirmation you made the best decision. I was not miserable before my DvH but my doc was clear things would be getting worse (specifically my bladder was blocked at times and this would become more troublesome, etc.) I think it is not unusual to be tired when you bleed for long periods so might be worth asking doc about anemia and any needed iron supplementation needed pre-op to ensure you are as healthy as possible going into surgery. Sorry you are experiencing these symptoms and I hope they resolve before and/or because of surgery.
