Hello everyone,
For the ones you listen to me back a few months ago, I just want to say thank you. I had a TAH on Nov 30,04 and returned back to the hospital 2 days later to have a pelvic drain put in, stayed an addtional 5 days. I thought I was going to lose my mind, I had aches and pains that I didn't think would ever go away, I was on an emotional roller coaster. Praise a mighty God I'm feeling like myself again, without the heavy period every two weeks. Life is good again and I love the new me. I still have some tenderness, but I'm 99% better. Thanks to this website and all of the encouraging words from my sisters. For you that is still recovering, hang in there, I promise it will get better. If someone would have told me that 2 months ago, I would have told them that they were crazy. Keep your head up and let time heal you physically, mentally and spiritually.

How's the swelly belly? I didn't have the cut like you did, and I'm only 7 weeks post-op but at night it looks like I have a soccer ball there. Doc won't allow any abdominal exercises, understandably, but I wonder is it the healing inducing the swelling?

swelly belly

I still have it, but not as bad. I can wear my low rise jeans with my shirt on the outside. I sometimes feel like I'm bloated, but then it goes down some. I've been watching what I eat, so I don't get excessive gas and bloating. I heard that it could take up to a year for the belly to go completely down?
