Having Bowel Troubles

Today it`s 5 months I am still in over my head! Been down hill since the surgey. My bowels are not working I haven`t had but 2 or 3 of my own bowel movements in months In and out of Dr. office today I have to go for another ct scan thank heaven for enema`s and suppossitories. Haven`t been back to th gyn`s since 11/19/2005 .Can`t seem to face him wasn`t very honest now I have had more problems than before Does anyone know if A hernia can cause bowel problems? Alnyway I was living on laxitives and still nothing. My primary care couldn`t believe it. Since I have had the surgry always tired, with flu like symtons. I had everthing removed but one ovary had a ct scan done back in Dec found cysts on the remaining ovary . Talk about regret!I feel so angry , all that for nothing To turn around and have a hernia or a torn and seperated stomach muscle, been to two different general surgions with 2 different conclusion`s. God fobid you get sick around the holidays you will die!lol Everyone was on a 2 week vacation , one Dr. after the other too finally get a Dr. visit with a specialist after a month of waiting to see him talk about excited Maybe finally getting a answer and don`t forget getting cleaned out He the Dr.tells me he is going on vocation , I almost feel off the chair. needlist to say He wanted me to go for a xray told him I did and it showed lots of stool and with that I finally go in 3/8/2006 for the 2 dirrent kinds of scopes.Any one have a same kind of effect as I. I developed a severe situation with bowels not moving, 1 year postop. Had never had any such concerns before my hyster. Ironically, after several scopes and testing, the docs could not figure out what was wrong. It was a pharmacist who came to my aid with the following dietary supplements:

She had me take 2 Acidophyllis capsules, 2 Probiotic caplets, and 400 mg of Magnesium every night before bed. Upon awakening, I had 2 more Probiotic caplets. All of these can be purchased at most pharmacies, without prescription (Acidophyllis is refrigerated.). This routine has been a Godsend! I have regular movements every single day.......no fuss. My rectocele quit acting up (Think I developed it from all the straining...), and I haven't needed to buy any laxatives or enemas ever since.

Of course, we are all unique, as well as the reasons for which we have problems. So, you'll want to continue, of course, with your docs and testing. In the meantime, my routine cannot hurt you............if your body does not want/need these items, they will not build up in your system......they will be excreted. Ask your pharmacist.........most docs are unaware of the beauty of alternative medicine. Much healthier than laxatives.

I am 4 wks post op and I also have to use suppositories and enemas. I am trying to drink more, take fiber and eat well.

I have terrible gas pains and a bm is like giving birth. This is not fun. I started taking flaxseeed and thistle I just began. Couldnt make it out to the store before now.
