finally some relief 11 days
after 11 days my pore crotch is feeling better. my abdomin is extremly sore still. when does this start to feel better? im trying not to do too much but i have some unsympathetic family members. they just dont understand, my dd's (14, & 16) are really trying on my nerves, usually they are great, but yesturday i could have sold them on ebay!! all i wanted was someone to make a salad for diner, but it turned into a teenage controversy!! the steak was burnt the salad (made by myself) wasnt eaten and the girls went to bed without eating.... boy does everyone count on mom or what?? i just want them to understand that mom isn't well yet and that i need them to help me keep the house moving smoothly. the younger ones (11 & 9) try to do whatever they can, but arent quite big enough to do the stuff that really needs to be done. uurrrggg!! just needed to vent for a minute. i really do feel better but my back aches doing the dishes, and the laundry is multiplying in the closets, and everything makes me soo tired. im so anxcious to feel "all better" but i know it will take time. thanks for letting me vent.
felling better, but starting to feel the affects of being the supermom and not ready to bounce back and take charge. wishing they would help mom more. oh did i mention that dh is a long distance truck driver and isnt home all week??

Wow, you've got your hands full. First, take a deep breath. You are only a few days further along than I am and there is no way you should be doing your normal activities. I can understand the frustration, but you have to be careful not to overdo it.
Try sitting the girls down and having a nice long talk. You might need to do some extra delegating, but don't do extra work! You don't want to hurt yourself or prolong your recovery. They need to understand the seriousness of your situation.
I wish you lots of luck, I know those teens are a rough bunch! Hang in there!

Hang in there Sumer! Everyday you are going to feel better. I'm at 3 weeks today, and can't believe how much better I have felt week after week. It's not easy being the supermom (or wife), because it means letting go of control while you are recouperating. Trust me, I know this because I did too much right out of the gate and spent a week regreting it. Just take it easy. The kids can eat cereal for dinner until you are feeling better!

I completely agree with the other posters...you need to take care of yourself first. You will slow down your recovery if you don't. Sit those teens down and let them know what you expect of them. They can handle the laundry or wear dirty clothes. And like PattyAnne said, they can eat cereal for dinner too, unless they want to cook! Good luck to you and take it easy. Before you know it you will be up and about, good as new.
