TVH 10 weeks post hysterectomy. light pink when wiping

Hey guys. I'm now 10 weeks post op. at my 6 week appt, Dr had to do the nitrate bc of scar tissue and light bleeding. was told to wait till 8 weeks for sex, which we did. bleeding stopped as soon as I left that visit (6 weeks) we've had sex maybe 3 times since my 8 week mark. didn't bleed till this last time at 10 week mark. it was light pink. I put a panty liner on and I have nothing on it but see the pink after wiping. also when i have a bowel movement, if I strain, I'll bleed a little then too.

is this all normal or should I make an appointment??? I just wanna get back to normal! thanks sisters!

Hi Daisiemae - this is sometimes a symptom of granulation tissue. It might be a good idea to make an appointment and have it checked out.

The bleeding you're having with your bowel movements could be a hemorrhoid, caused by straining. To normalize your bowel function, be sure to take regular walks, and try supplementing your diet with magnesium; food sources include leafy greens, whole grains, nuts and seeds, and dark chocolate. Other steps to avoid straining include eating plenty of insoluble fibre to bulk up your stools, and drinking plenty of water to soften it. Also try sitting on the toilet with your knees drawn into your chest, and your feet elevated on a low stool; this straightens the rectum, so the stool can pass through without straining.
