Home and Recovering

Well I had surgery Monday morning and home Thursday late evening. Surgery went well. Took about 2 hrs. I kept my ovaries and they took my uterus and cervix. Said my uterus was 4to5 times the normal size and was growing into the muslce. They removed some fibroids.I was pretty much out of it the day of surgery. Next day they got me up and walking. I also was eatting reg food that day. I have been doing very well. Don't get me wrong I am sore as heck and have a hard time getting up and down and also walking slow etc.. but waiting is def by far the worse part. My sleeping pattern is off but will get it back at some point.lol
Well just wanted to check in and say Hi and Im home and doing well. Now time to sleep a bit.

Glad to hear you are home and recovering Satin!

May I ask why you were in the hospital for 4 days?

Well my bowels wasn't cooperating with me .lmao They had a mind of their own and in order to go you have to have a movement . So by the time they decided to work, it was too late so had to wait till the next day. lmao

My problem, too. Didn't get any food until Saturday, because nothing was passing, not even gas. And then Friday night--kaflooie.

I think they sent me home because they were tired of cleaning me up.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. First, they give you only a liquid diet and make you drink that "stuff" to clean your innards out. Then they expect you to have something solid come out before you can go home from the hospital?

I don't go normal as it is. If they wait till I have a BM before they'll let me come home from the hospital, I just might be there a week! LOL

It is a laugh that they expect stuff to come out before you have time to get much "in". Honestly though, even some gas coming out tells the dr that the bowel is awake, and won't die at home. This condition called "ileus" is bad news and can require more surgery, possibly a colostomy bag, and at worst, death. Most folks don't know this, because the doc doesn't want to put a horrible thing like it in your mind, but it's the truth. Glad you got to leave the castle, even though it was later than you anticipated. Get well real soon.
