Slipped off chair!!!Anybody else done this?
Hi ladies. I'm 4 weeks post op and I think I just set myself back a bit. I've been feeling awesome the last couple of days so I'm a little disappointed. I was sitting in the backyard tonight with my dh and neighbour and went to get up from my patio chair and my hand slipped off the armrest and away I went!!!! Didn't fall on my butt, but slipped enough that I think I "pulled" something. Felt this sharp pain right up inside of me. Still hurts a little now ( 5 hrs later) but mostly crampy feeling. No discharge. I will call Dr in morning to see if I should go in. Please tell me someone else has done close to the same. Feeling a little clumsy.

Oh no!!! I hope you will feel better soon and that this very unfortunate accident will be behind you quickly..!!! Come back later and tell us what your doc said. At least you have no discharge, no bleeding.
I've had no accident so far but... my youngest scared the hell out of me the other day by sneaking up behind me. I jumped and screamed. Then the pain...
I was mad at him but I did my best to explain to him eventhough mom feels and looks better... she needs to be careful still. Don't play tricks until I say so...!!!
I really hope you will be ok. Take good care now.

Thanks Marie. Yes I will keep you posted. Kids are too funny. My two youngest have both scared the begeebers out of me a couple of times. I didn't know whether to get mad or cry. They have no idea. Mom looks ok so she must be ok. They now know, do not sneek up on Mom!

Shellmak,
welcome to the post surgery clutz club. I was 18 days out from surgery and we celebrated DS's 15th b-day. I was carrying th pizza box out to the garage, barefoot, when my heel hit drooled water from the dog dish. My feet were above my head and my tush on the floor before I knew it! Never in my life have I fallen so silently. No loud boom when aforementioned tush hit floor. DH would never have known except for me saying "OH MY". To my amazement, I didn't hurt anything except pulling some muscles in my thigh, and my pride. I sat there for a while contemplating how I was going to get up, and to make sure I really didn't do any damage.
So you are definitely not alone. I hope you are feeling better and didn't do anything to set yourself back.

Hi, when i was about 5 weeks, I fell down with a lawn chair on my deck. I had some pain, which eventually went away the next day or so. I watched to make sure that there was no bleeding. If you still have the pain later, don't hesitate to phone your dr. Take it easy.

Slipped off chair!!!Anybody else done this?
I am 4 weeks on Friday. Two nights ago I was walking down the stairs to take a pain pill and I missed one step, almost two. I caught myself, but was scared to death. My heart started racing. I really needed the pain pill after that. However, I had no increase in bleeding. I'm so sorry that you were hurt.

Well, I didn't slip off a chair but I did slip going down the stairs! Just like you, I had renewed pain and worried that I had damaged something, but thankfully all was ok. Anytime we have been cut those nerves will stay angry and irritated for awhile and any trauma to the area will renew the pain. Just make sure your Dr. is aware of it and keep watching for bleeding or anything else unusual. You will probably be ok. I was.
