A full historectomy. They will do what they can laproscopicly, but will end up having to go in low belly to seperate the uterus and many other organs from things the endometriosis has bonded them to. It has come back 4 times. Been miserable will have 4 incisions, one under belly 6-8 inches and three small ones around the belly button. Trying to prepare clothing wise, really just in every way. I've had surgery on the endometriosis twice so I know what that feels like. I bought some yoga pants for what I'm ready for that firm hold it in feeling. I'm not sure how else to prepare...?

Re: New, worried and very open to advice and support.

Hey there.

I had tubes and ovaries removal six weeks ago and then due to discovery of endo cancer, total lap hysterectomy, Monday just gone.

I had both done laparoscopically. Three holes for first surgery and five holes for second. Just been out and bought comfy leggings to wear!! Give up trying to make other things work!!!

Hot flushes have hit me as has insomnia but onwards and upwards. Trick is to not do too much, take meds when needed and not to try and be a hero. Contrary to female belief, the world can go on without us running it for a while!!!

An always remember we have all been there, done that and are wearing the t shirt!

I've had numerous surgeries for endo as well... last one was just a few weeks ago! There is a forum at the top of the pre op support page called "Hints from Members" There is so many good tips and ideas there! It's worth a look if you have time
