bladder worries

These pesky bladders !!!! Never realised they can act up so much after the surgery. ( SAH kept ovaries) no problems except bladder all over the place, and I am aware of pressure. no pain or burning though. Have been tested for uti and all clear. Docs seem unconcerned say give it time to settle after trauma of surgery etc!!! no bladder problems before surgery, only the big fibroid pressing on the bladder. Still feels like the fibroid is there some days, and i am either going very frequently or not going for hours. Any one recognise these symptoms!!!!! makes it worse because I am very anxious and patience is not my strongest point.

Re: bladder worries

You're still pretty early in your recovery and it may take time for it to settle down. I had my TVH/Bladdersling/TVT on Mar. 9th and things are ok but still feels different than before surgery. I have also read several post where ladies may be having bladder spasms. Do you think this might be a possibility? Look back at some of the posts and see if you can find info...someone recommended AZO or something else which really helped...not sure if it is over the counter or a script...hope you feel better soon.

Re: bladder worries

Thank you so much. Yes I know its early days yet and everyone heals differently. My bladder was knocked about a bit prior to surgery with a big fibroid crushing it. I have been prescribed some bladder calming meds but not really making much difference, again probably need to give them time to kick in!!! Hugs and positive healing to you.
