3 month girls how you all doing

Hi!

I am definitely back going full swing...especially with the holidays here. My dr says as far as the gynecological part goes I am healed. However, I have a very painful, large (and getting larger) bulge on the right side of my stomach. He is sending me to a surgeon (the appointment is tomorrow). He doesn't think it is related to the hyster, but things I have read on this site make me think it is an incisional hernia. Thank goodness for HysterSisters once again.

I hope everyone is doing well and I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!!

I am 3 months out and am back to work full time. I am an El. School Librarian - on my feet all day. By the end of each day and def. by Fridays I am still exhausted and I still get occ. swelly Belly at night and twinges of pain in my abdomen and groin area. The good thing for me is that we will be out of school on Dec. 20th and I will have til Jan. 3rd to rest up again. - I think it will take a while to heal completely. Hugs to all Janice G

Sept 14th will be three months for me and I am back to work full time and loving it and the only time I really have pain is when I am picking up 21/2 year old adopted grandson too much or doing too much lifting and then I get a really painful pull in my tummy. Every day gets better and I even have days I don't think about my hyst now so that is very encouraging. My thoughts and prayers to all my 'sisters' out there and remember to take good care of yourselves.

I am 3 months today and mostly feeling pretty good. I have been back at work for 3 weeks and I have noticed that I feel very tired after a day at work, so am not feeling quite so well in myself than when I was at home. I still get the odd twinges but all in all, things are getting better. I'm looking forward to a nice break at Christmas for a rest. Hugs to all my other sisters.

I am almost 2 months and feel better reading these posts knowing that even at the 3 month stage there are still issues with pain and tiredness.

I was 3 months on 12/5, had a TVH. I have been back to work full time since 10/17 (took 6 weeks off) and it was hard at the beginning. I was so tired after work that sometimes I just went to bed. Had about a month of twinges that lasted from a few minutes to a few hours, so lived on ibuproffin. Around Thanksgiving, I stated feeling better and even wanted to go out on the weekends - something that I haven't felt like doing in a long time. Just within the last few weeks, I have been feeling more like my old self and am out and doing things. I still have days where I am so tired that I have to give in and go to bed by 8 or 9 pm. My twinges have calmed down and things in the intimacy department are definetely picking up. We have to remember that we had major surgery and we are still healing - up to 12 months after surgery. We need to listen to our bodies and do what's right for us! I take things one day at a time, otherwise I get overwhelmed. I love this forum and all the lovely ladies - you keep me going!

So far I have no complaints. I'm one of the ones who did take it very easy for 6 weeks, and I don't know if that made a difference or not, but I feel great.

Most importantly, the surgery worked and I no longer feel that my bladder, rectum, vagina and uterus are in a race to fall out. Walking up stairs was always uncomfortable. Last week I chaperoned a trip to a museum and walked up and down flights of stairs all day with no problems.

The only time I'm reminded of my incision is after a swim workout because the numbness around the incision expands an inch or two for the rest of the day. I can only guess that the stretching involved in swimming must be tearing apart all my little nerve connections.

I feel truly blessed to feel so well, and I thank all of you for all the support (and humor) in the midst of it.

I am 3 months tomorrow, the 12th and I have felt soooooooo much better the last 3 months. I am back to working full-time and standing behind the chair( I am a hairstylist), if I don't take breaks it is worse, but pretty much I feel great. I over did it, two weeks ago when I went back to Curves, but I'm going to try again and ease back into it. I hopefully will be able to go back to my normal schedule after the first of the year. I hope everyone else is doing great.
