TLH Had sex too soon and scared

Ok, im 4.5 weeks post op and my husband and I have had semi sex twice in the past 4 days. I say semi because he didnt complete penetration and didnt ejaculate inside me. I know im in big trouble, I go to the doctor in 6 more days and I hope he cant tell. I'm embarrassed at how weak we were, but I told him NO MORE until I see the doctor. My sex drive is strong now, im scared.

Don't beat yourself up. It is fairly common that our sex drive skyrockets post-hysterectomy. I think I was lucky because my then husband had more strength than I did. It made it easier on me. I wanted to do what you did. So, now that you've had some sex, you need to make sure you are ok. You need to call your doctor ASAP and tell your doctor what happened. Do not try to hide it. Your doctor needs to know so he can check to see if any damage was done to your vaginal cuff. Also, even though your DH did not ejaculate, he could have introduced bacteria into your vagina which could cause you serious problems. You need to be checked for infection and tears or damage to your cuff. And soon. I'm not scolding you, I am worried for you. Your doctor has heard it before. You are not the first and you won't be the last. We have had many members who have engaged in sex too soon. Some have paid with their cuff coming apart and a trip to the ER and additional surgery. Others have developed nasty infections. The sooner you get it looked at and treated, the better your chances of not ending up in the ER. Yes, some do get away with it, but you cannot know it will be you. Don't take the risk. Please call your doctor ASAP and tell him the truth. Take care of yourself.
