Had Pre Op Today
I am having the Laparoscopic Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingectomy and Cystoscopy. I learned that I will be having my cervix removed along with my uterus and tubes. I am keeping my ovaries though because I am only 25 and my ovaries look good and of course I need those for hormones. I was asking why are you taking my cervix because I heard that if you take it out my bladder could prolapse or something and she told me that I won't be at risk of that until I am older and that if they left the cervix I would still have a mini period.
So now I am having me an alcoholic beverage while I clean and do laundry and eat like a pig since I will be on a liquid diet tomorrow along with bowel prep. I am so ready to have this surgery so I can look for work and live a pain free life.
