Good to go for another year

I was hoping that I'd need only screening mammograms again this year like the past couple. No such luck. Called back for diagnostic mammos and ultrasound. Results were good though. Ultimately what the radiologists were taking a closer look at was just changes to biopsies no. 1 and 5 scar tissue in the right breast. DCIS was in the left.

I can usually take things in stride pretty much. But this time when I got the "come back" call, the nerves hit BIG TIME. Didn't eat for two days. Hugged the pot for one night (therefore lost sleep). Took me four days to get back to anything close to normal.

I am normal again and good to go. Whew!

(((Mary))) I'm so glad you got the OK, even if it was after some jangled nerves.

I am right there with you... next week I have my last every-six-months diagnostic followup since my last diagnosis. This is the point at which I was diagnosed again after the first go-round, so it is a very stressful point for me. Thankfully I will know right away, as they schedule me when the radiologist is present and he/she comes out to talk to me immediately either way. I am looking forward to being able to switch to once a year again!

Congratulations Do something nice for yourself today.

s,
-Linda
