TAH Antibiotics, Sick, and sore.

Went to my first post-op on Wednesday. Told Dr about discharge. Was having it before and after TAH. Gave me super antibiotics and as a good patient, I took them without questioning. I've been sick and tired ever since. I was well on my way to recovering until then. Now feel like I have to restart from beginning.

I have been in a lot of pain and achy since I came home. Cant tolerate Ibuprofen very well..makes my stomach hurt. So now what?

At dr appt, she took out sutures. Ever since then it feels like I have a tampon in. I'm not sure what to do.

I am having a hard time with resting. I want to do a lot more but I keep being told, rest..rest..rest. When will I feel better enough to go for walks. Even go up and down the stairs without looking like an old grandma (sorry :-( ) Any advice for my feeling so poor? Any suggestions is welcome.

What antibiotic did you get?

Tindamax. Tottaly wiped me out.

No wonder you feel like crap. Tindamax is some high-powered stuff. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Thanks tlprell. Im trying. Like to chew on pebble ice to calm the tummy.

Try eating either plain toast or a baked potato with a little salt only. The potato generally works really good when needing to restart your system.
