Lifted something now have cramps

I have been feeling so great, but today without thinking about it I picked up 2 bags of heavy leaves. after about 1 hour I have bad cramps. Should I be laying down and resting or will this go away? It was sure a dumb thing to do...

Hi Sandi,

Lie down with your feet up and give your doctor a call, just to be on the safe side. And take it easy! You only get once chance to heal properly and this is it. Leave the lifting to someone else.

I agree -- put those feet up, put some heat or cold on the tummy if that feels better, and if it doesn't subside soon, call.

Hopefully you'll be OK -- but even if you feel OK, your doc may want to see you in case you've done some damage.
