Need info on biopsy pain

Hello ladies!
I had a LAVH on December 10th, 2007 and thought I was all done. Unfortunately, I have pain and bleeding after sex, and lots of vaginal discharge. I went to my Gyn on Thursday and she thinks it is a prolapsed fallopian tube in my vaginal cuff. She has to snip a piece off (biopsy) to confirm what it is and I am concerned about the pain. Since FTP (fallopian tube prolapse) is pretty unusual, if you have had ANY kind of biopsy in that area, would you let me know how it went? I'm a 'more informed the better' kind of person. :-) Thanks in advance!!!

It's all pretty dependent on how you tolerate pain. I had a cervical and endometrial biopsy, and the worst part of it was that the @#$% doc didn't warn me what he was doing, just SNIP OUCH I said "What the H3!! you doing down there??? He told me, and by that time the ouch was gone. I did spot for a day or so, though. Good luck!

I had a cervical biopsy as well. For me, I felt a burning sensation, it was at its strongest when he cut it, but I burned for quite a few hours after. It was very uncomfortable, but the pain was tolerable. If that makes sense. I also spotted for a day.

Endometrial Biopsy

I had to have several of those endometrial biopsies because of post menopausal spotting, and that's why I finally said take everything out!!! The pain from one of those "snips"in the uterus was much worse than the pain I am having now after a TAH.

Good luck!
