Blood pressure issues

Hello ladies,
I had my surgery (TAH) almost 6 weeks ago and since I have had very eratic blood pressure problems. I am not sure if anyone else has had issues with this or not. I can swing anywhere from normal (110/80) to super high (166/95) in a matter of minutes. This all started in the hospital just after the surgery. At first they thought it was the pain, but I am not pain free finally and still having the problem! I have been on meds for it since, but my dr is afraid to increase it just yet because she is afraid it may make the BP go too low. I have started keeping a log and will be going back to see her in 2 weeks. I am thinking it may be due to the hormone swings, but not sure what to do!
If anyone has any suggestions I would be grateful.

I am having the same exact problem! It all started as soon as I had my hysterectomy. I saw the dr yesterday for a 8 week post op check and it was high again! I know that HRT which I am on right now and have been since I got home from the surgery can raise your blood pressure.
Kinda scary huh?!?!

(((Shell))) I see by your profile that you also had your ovaries removed. Are you on any HRT? Low estrogen levels can cause blood pressure problems... they did for me when I was trying to lower my HRT dosage a few years ago.

Thanks for the link. I will check it out. I am not on any HRT due to large family history for breast ca. As it turned out my path report showed most of the cells being precancerous so I am lucky there.
