Could I still have PMDD w/ Hysterectomy??

I had a TVH at the end of July and kept my overies. My Dr. said that it would greatly reduce my PMDD symptoms... Which were very bad. I was very depressed, extremely moody, edgy, feeling out of control and sometime sucidal. It was bad. Well, I thought this all would get better with my hysterectomy. 4 months later I am again having PMDD symptoms.
It was a bit better right after my surgery just due to the fact that my overies were not working yet. They finally kicked in after a couple of months.
I still get these symptoms once a month and they last about 3 to 4 days. I don't know what my Dr. was thinking!!! Has anyone else had PMDD and then had a hysterectomy and it didn't get better??
I don't know what else to do!! I am on a antidepressant (it was Paxil but now I am on Wellbutrin-Getting off the Wellbutrin due to the side effects!!) Should I have my overies removed???
My poor DH!! He still has to deal with the Jeckel and Hyde every month!!

First off, I'm so sorry you have gone through so much. I'm also sorry you still seem to be having trouble with PMDD.
If it was better right after surgery, you may want to discuss having your ovaries removed, with your dr. I've been through major depression also, so I understand those terrible feelings.
I had my ovaries removed, and have felt pretty good. Only a couple of really bad sad days. Removing ovaries that have nothing wrong with them is a tough decision. There is a history of ovarian cancer in my family, but it was still a hard decision.
Please talk with both your psychiatrist (if you have one), and your gyn, to see if this is a good idea for you. I discussed it fully with my general prac, gyn, and psychiatrist before making my decision. So far I'm happy with it.
