Depo-Provera
Hello!
I am new to this website. I am scheduled for my surgery on December 13th.
I have been getting the Depo-Provera shot to prevent periods. I handled the one month shots fine but when I got the 2 month shot I have been having problems. I have a headache everyday since the shot and I am exhausted! Has anyone else experienced this with the shot?
I am getting very nervous about my up coming surgery. This is the first time I have had to wait for surgery, the other times(C-section and Gall bladder) have been emergencies. The waiting is terrible!
Thanks for listening
Kris

Depo-Provera
I was on depo provera for 13years to control heavy bleeding and to treat endo, while I never had headaches from it I did loose a lot of bone mass and was told i was osteopenic when i had a dexa scan in oct of 06.I also had almost no estrogen prior to my hyst and had severe thinning of my vaganal skin,I was told that i had the vagina of a 80 year old woman. Since my hyst I have had headaches off and on but was put on estrace to replace estorgen so i hope that will help.Hang in there we will see you on the other side real soon.

Thank you all for responding!
I keep telling myself that I am almost there. I have a great support group of friends at work that are helping me keep my mind off of it! I am just trying to keep busy.
The headaches have been bad at times but I just keep the Tylenol close, which really doesn't help.
I find out next Friday, November 23, what my doctor is doing exactly.
Has anyone else had the cramps but no period? This month my lower back is killing me just like when I used to get my period.
Thanks again
Kris
