I am Almost Ready to Giving Up!

I am Overwhelmed on what is going on right now!!!!

I saw my gynecologist a few weeks ago for a persistent left side abdominal pain intermittent for the last few years. I have had a battery of test over those years 2 colonoscopies and endoscopys, vaginal ultra sounds, abdominal ultrasounds, CA-125, CA 19.9 and everything is coming back normal. I did have a laprascopy done in 5/2013 and they found I had endometriosis which my last gyno was able to get most of it. He was a real jerk so I ended up switching to a new gynocologist. He did not even tell me I had uterine fibroids my new gynecologist advised me of the last gyno's findings.

I have not had any test except for blood work and a ultra sound that shows a cysts on my left ovary done this year. I went to my gynecologist and they have a laprascopy scheduled for 4/28/2015.

Fast forward I have not had a period since 6/2014. I am 45 years old. They have stated according to my blood work I am peri-menopausal. I have been hearing that all along so just recently I had a transvaginal ultrasound done by my new gyno and he stated I had a cyst on my left ovary and also he mentioned that my ovary did not look like it was a menopausal ovary and he recommend to do a laprascopy and possibly remove the left ovary being that is the side of my pain. This was 3 weeks ago I saw him.

OMG my body took a downward spiral since I have saw him and it feels like I am dying. Out of no where I started bleeding Friday after 8 months without any period. I was clotting and the pain was excruciating! I have low back pain predominantly on the left side and my stomach is swollen like I am a few months pregnant! It looks like my upper stomach is slightly swollen now.

Over the last few weeks I have noticed a big decrease in my appetite. All of my immediate family is out of town and I have no friends where I live so I am all alone! I went to to emergency room this morning and they wanted to do a CT scan and I said no due to the radiation. I asked if they can do an MRI and they said it would not show anything. So they wrote me an order to do an ultrasound which I will be doing sometime this week.

When I called my gyno office on Friday to tell them I started bleeding the receptionist stated my doctor was out of the office and that she spoke with on-site doctor and they want me to come in for a biopsy. My heart almost collapsed. She further stated I should not be bleeding and that what I am going through is abnormal so now I am really scared. I have appointment scheduled this Thursday.

I am in so much pain and I have pleaded with doctors over the last several months to do a repeat ultrasound on my abdomen because of all the new symptoms. I feel like something is spreading inside and I am helpless and at the mercy of the doctors. It is almost like you have to beg them to help you and they drag their feet and not order the appropriate test until it is too late.

I pray also for everyone on this site that is in pain or going through illness. Pray for me too. This is driving me crazy. I cannot believe I am this close to surgery and things are turning for the worse. I may not make it to have the surgery.

I am Almost Ready to Giving Up!

I just wanted to stop by and say hang in there. I know it is frustrating to have escalating symptoms with no answers. Sounds like your Dr. is on the right track by doing further testing. Abnormal does not always mean bad. I had loads of fibroids and a wait for my surgery. Towards the end I started to get breakthrough bleeding- which would happen randomly outside of my regular period. Turned out I had adenomyosis as well. Please take one day at a time and keep us updated. Take care.

Re: I am Almost Ready to Giving Up!

Oh, I really feel for you. I have been waiting for a long time to have things tended to...I am praying for your peace of mind in all this and that the timing will turn out to have not been any kind of a detriment to your diagnosis and treatment. God bless you.

I am Almost Ready to Giving Up!

I'm completely new to the site but wanted to tell you to stay strong and that I am praying for you. I can relate somewhat to your stress (upcoming hyst. due to CIN 3). Nevertheless, I encourage you to not give up and keep fighting for the treatment you deserve. Again, you're in my prayers.
