just heard path report

I'm feeling pretty well, can sit at the computer for a few minutes. I had a TAH, since I had uterine cancer. I just heard my lab report. The Dr. said it was good, I had a Stage 1, Grade 2 cancer that had penetrated 4mm. He wants me to "think" about vaginal radiation. Of course, this makes me nervous.

I am sorry to hear that you have joined the club that nobody wants to join.

I had a TAH 2 weeks ago for fibroids and a pre-cancerous lesion. During the surgery they found uterine cancer. Thankfully it was contained in the uterus with no invasion anywhere else. They ended up taking everything just to avoid any trouble. I'm going to be getting a second opinion to be sure that is the case. I would suggest getting a second opinion before making any big decisions.

One other item make sure that you discuss things with a gyn-onc if that isn't who did your surgery since they specialize in reproductive cancers.
