I was three weeks yesterday as well. And the last few days I felt like totally depressed. I am on an antidepressant every day, but I find after surgery, I tend to dip down pretty low.
I think it's normal. I think we underestimate what our bodies go through during surgery with anesthesia, and especially if we had laparoscopic. We tend to think of it as not major, or non-invasive.
Thank God we have this board to remind each other to give ourselves a break.

You're not a freak. A few years ago I was ecstatic that I got to have a tummy tuck. I lost significant weight, and I had the money to do it. I went for it! Boy was I shocked when during recovery I was a total mess. I think all those drugs, and our bodies having some shock creates some sort of chemical imbalance.

How long before the ovaries wake up from their nap? Feeling emotional too and my family probably thinks I am crazy....

Hello so glad I found this thread. Its 4 weeks on Wednesday since I had a my TAH ovaries left however Im so moody and emotional. I go from being ok to really down in the dumps. GP prescribed anti depressants how long does this last as i feel so sorry for my family??
