LAVH 2 weeks post op and increasing bleeding

Im 2 weeks post op today and it seems that the bleeding has increased...it is still brownish but seems like more than it was before. Is this normal? In the morning it's pinkish at first but then all brown. Also I seem to have the most cramping pain first thing in the morning. Any thoughts on that? Other than that Im doing well, too well cuz I want to do too much. I helped sort through boxes while my husband cleaned the garage and maybe over did it a bit. Any thoughts would be appreciated!!!

Pushing yourself to do things your body isnt ready for can cause discomfort and bleeding increase. However some bleeding and spotting is normal at this point in your recovery. Just keep an eye on it. If you start soaking a pad an hour have severe cramping, start running a temp then its time to call the dr. or head to an E.R. Try resting for the day too see if it lets up...if it does chances are you did more than you should have.

Daisies-I had bleeding that got heavier at 2 weeks- I went to the dr and I had to have a Silver Nitrate treatment. I had this done 2 more times at 3 weeks and 6 weeks. Dr said I was having bleeding and oozing in tiny areas on the cuff & it is pretty common. At 7 weeks the discharge is gone and I feel normal!

when I was in hospital, my nurse told me to expect discharge that will be brownish as the layer from the healed vaginal cuff comes off. She said to expect this around week 2/3. To be honest, I haven't really bled much since hospital except for spotting. It did get brownish towards the end of week 2 so maybe it was that.

I believe the general rule of thumb is that if you soak a pad in an hour that is too much bleeding, but I think if you are worried a phone call to doctor wouldn't hurt.

I too feel able to do anything I normally do but I am taking it very easy. No lifting or bending. My grabber is my best friend
